James H. Byrd, I. | Founder / CEO  

James H. Byrd, I., affectionately known as “Byrd” has been described as ‘one of the most premier seminar and threat elimination professionals’ of today. Born in Wiesbaden, West Germany, Byrd traveled Europe extensively until his return to the States. He attended Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana receiving a B. A. degree in Political Science. He played as a four year starter and letterman while on an athletic scholarship in football. During this time, he received numerous awards in this field for his many accomplishments.

Byrd is the Founder & Director of Right Way, Wrong Way, LLC., (R.W.W.W.) which assists ex-offenders in making the transition from prison back to society. The mission for RWWW,LLC. is to provide programs which assist offenders in educational development and job skills. He works daily with high risk and non high risk adolescent developing in them self-responsibility, discipline, self esteem, commitment and the vision to succeed. Many offenders with whom he works with have backgrounds in gang violence.

As a Gang Specialist and Youth Development Expert, Byrd teaches and instructs educational entities, gang intervention teams, private industry, select law enforcement personnel and a host of others in the understanding of an interaction with gangs as well as providing hand-on expertise. He is often called to assist the experts in crisis situations where gangs are considered a major problem. Having trained schools in the Rites of Passage, he is continually on the front line in helping to save our youth. Byrd is a seminar presenter and motivational speaker in the areas of crisis intervention. He speaks regularly at schools in Fulton, DeKalb and Clayton Counties in Atlanta, Georgia. He conducts workshops and seminars to adults working with youth and gangs throughout the state of Georgia. He is a Certified Facilitator of the Ten Rites of Passage program. He served as a consultant for the Empowerment Institute which focused on assisting youth and young adults in making good choices and being fully aware of the consequences of bad decisions.Byrd is actively involved in the intervention and prevention of gang activity. He has worked in partnership with the Atlanta Police Departments, Gang and Guns Task Force, DeKalb Counties Gang Task Force, Clayton Counties Gang Task Force and the Atlanta Art of Boxing Center.

As a master trainer, he is known for his common sense, simplistic, no nonsense approach to understanding and dealing with the subject of violence and crisis prevention. Byrd has personally coached major corporations, gang intervention groups, select law enforcement teams and a variety of community empowerment groups. Many people have been enlightened to his comprehensive knowledge through the numerous seminars and speaking engagements he does regularly. His seminars and workshops are taught throughout the country and are in constant demand.

Byrd is currently in the process of writing his first book titled “7326 Days”. His story and journey will help many to understand why he has the passion for the work he does.
